Luca Rossettini plays as a defender for Cagliari. He was born on May 9, 1985 in Padua, Italy.
Rossettini started his youth career at hometown football club Padova. The young defender played for different youth teams of this club for many years but finally he achieved his goal and joined Padova first team.
In 2004 Rossettini received a proposal to sign a contract with Padova. The defender signed a permanent contract without hesitation and played for Padova until 2007. For three years he didn’t become the key player but the head coach could always rely on him. Thus Luca sometimes got into the starting eleven and also made substitute appearances. From 2004 to 2007 Rossettini scored 3 goals in 44 matches for Padova.
In 2007 Luca’s successful performance caught the eye of Siena. It took some time for both clubs to discuss the details of Rossettini’s transfer to Siena and in the summer 2007 the parties finally reached an agreement. The clubs signed an agreement and then Luca signed a permanent contract with Siena. He made a steady start in his new football club. Rossettini often was in the starting line-up which helped the footballer keep his shape. When he got out of shape several times the head coach kept him on the subs bench. Since 2007 Rossettini took part in more than 100 matches for Siena.
In the summer 2012 Luca Rossettini moved to Cagliari.
