Ma Leilei is a Chinese midfielder, born on 22 March 1989 in Tianjin, China.
Ma started his youth career in 2002, when he joined the youth football academy of FC Tianjin Locomotive. The player showed extremely solid and consistent play in the middle of a pitch, so there were no questions about his preferred position. Leilei was given a lot of playing practice at the early stages of his career, getting ready to moving on to the professional level. Finally, after six years at the academy, the footballer signed his first professional deal with FC Tianjin Teda.
Starting from 2008 he was trying to impress his head coach and earn a first-team role. Soon he debuted with the first-team of the club on 21 September 2008, when he came on as a sub during a 1-1 draw versus FC Shanghai Shenhua. He gave-it-all both on the training ground and football pitch, whenever he got a chance, but the manager was unable to provide him with regular first-team football, despite noticing assiduous player’s efforts.
Since 2013 the player has featured for Qingdao Jonoon.
