José Manuel Jiménez Ortiz (also aka Mané) is a Spanish footballer.
He started his career at the third league teams License and Díter Zafra. Then he moved to Atlético Madrid B in the same division. After two years for the side he moved to Ciudad de Murcia in the Segunda in 2005 and spent there one season with 39 appearances.
There he was noticed by the management of Almería and moved to this team in 2006. He played 17 games for the season 2007/08 where he scored once. In the following season he took part in 14 games for the same side. During his whole career with Almería he made the respectful 103 appearances with 3 goals.
However Giménez was bought by Getafe in 2009. He spent a marvelous first season being a constant starter from the very beginning as he made 15 appearances before the January transfer window.
The year 2010 came to be quite intensive for the defender. 5 games in the Copa del Rey, 20 games in La Liga (with one goal) and 4 UEFA Europa League appearances (with a booking record of seven yellow cards in four games) left little time for rest.
The first half of the season 2010/11 granted the player with 11 starts compared with 17 in the second. The decreasing tendency preserved as José played only in 13 games of the season 2011/12.
In the summer 2013 Mané joined an Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv, but half a year later returned to his former club UD Almeria.
