Marcelo Larrondo is a forward for Serie B club Siena. He was born on August 16, 1988 in Tunuyán, Argentina.
Larrondo was brought up in the River Plate youth system where he spent several years developing his skills. In 2007 he signed his first professional contract with River Plate. The debut 2007/2008 season was not a success for Marcelo because the head coach didn’t give him a single chance to get into the starting eleven. In 2009 Larrondo signed a contract with Progreso where he spent some time until Siena scouts took an interest in him.
It took some time for the Argentine and the Italian clubs to discuss the terms of agreement which would satisfy both parties. By the summer 2009 they reached an agreement. Larrondo signed a permanent contract with Siena under which he plays for this Italian club until now. First of all he was gradually integrating into the team. The head coach started to include Larrondo in the starting eleven. It ensured his adaptation by the end of the 2009/2010 season when he took part in several matches. In 2013 Marcelo moved to Fiorentina on loan.
