Marko Jovanović. Biography

Marko Jovanović is a Serbian defender currently playing for the Polish Ekstraklasa side Wisła Kraków. He was born on 26 March 1988 in Arilje, Serbia.

The product of FK Partizan youth system, Marko signed a professional contract with the club in 2007. He made his debut in a Serbian Cup game against FK Rad. Jovanović collected four consecutive Serbian SuperLiga titles and three Serbian Cups together with Partizan. Overall, Jovanović made a total of 60 games during a four-year stint at the club. In the summer 2011, he moved to Poland where the defender signed for Wisła Kraków and plays for the Ekstraklasa team to date.

In between 2007 and 2010, Marko Jovanović earned 23 caps to the Serbia U21 team. In 2008, he was called up to the Serbia Olympic for five times.
