A Brazilian-born footballer Marcos Antônio Malachias Júnior, aka Marquinhos, performs for Changchun Yatai as a midfielder. The player was born on 30 April 1982 in Campinas. He has a citizenship of Bulgaria.
In 2004, Marquinhos joined Guaçuano and his professional career began. In 2006, the midfielder moved to Bulgaria, where he signed for Belasitsa Petrich. Very soon he debuted for the main squad. In total, the footballer netted 17 goals in 41 matches for the team.
In May 2007, Marcos was scouted by CSKA Sofia. In August, the player made his debut appearance for the club and in March 2008 he scored his first goal. In December 2009, Marquinhos was taken out from the field by the injury. The player became the holder of the 2008 Bulgarian Supercup and the winner of the Bulgarian Cup during the 2010/2011 season. Altogether, he racked up 16 goals in 91 games for CSKA.
In 2011, Malachias penned a year-long contract with Anorthosis Famagusta. He made 27 appearances and netted three goals during the spell. In 2012, a move to Changchun Yatai happened.
On international level, Marquinhos debuted for the Bulgaria full side on 4 June 2011 in a match against Montenegro.
