Martin Kamburov is a Bulgarian striker who currently performs for CSKA Sofia. He was born on October 13, 1980 in Svilengrad, Bulgaria.
Kamburov launched his professional career with Botev Plovdiv in 1998. He warmed the bench most of his time in the club, making only 12 appearances and firing 2 goals. In 1999 the Bulgarian striker was transferred to Lokomotiv Plovdiv and later to his hometown club Svilengrad. Martin departed Svilengrad having notched 7 goals in 19 matches. During the following season the pacy striker wore the jerseys of Botev Plovdiv and Spartak Pleven. In 2002 Kamburov headed back to Lokomotiv Plovdiv. It was there that his career really took off. The Bulgarian hitman was a real thorn in opposition defenses. In 2004 and 2005 Martin Kamburov was the league top goalscorer with 26 and 27 goals to his name. In 2006 UAE side Al-Ahli secured the services of the player. During the 2007-2010 period Martin defended the colours of Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Asteras Tripolis and Lokomotiv Sofia. In 2009 the prolific striker found the net 33 times and again clutched the top goalscorer award. In 2010 Dalian Shide completed the signing of the Bulgarian international. In December 2012 Martin returned to Bulgaria and joined CSKA Sofia.
From 2004 to 2010 the player represented the Bulgaria national team. In total, he made 15 starts for his country.
