M’Baye Niang is a French footballer of AC Milan. He was born on 19 December 1994 in Meulan, France.
M’Baye began his football grooming at a hometown Basse-Seine Les Mureaux at the age of 7. In 2003, he joined amateur side Poissy where his career picked up a steam. There is a tidbit about Niang that aged only 13 he had a height of 1.75 m. His young age was casted doubts upon as he was suspected of being older than his actual date of birth.
Despite all the aspersions around Niang, he sparked much interest of Caen’s scouts. Eventually, the club signed a young hopeful in 2007. He soon established himself as a crafty and talented striker and aged only 15, Niang already featured for Caen’s U-19 team.
On 23 April 2011, Niang was called up to the first team and made his professional debut for Caen in a league match against Toulouse at the age а 16.
Ahead of the 2012/13 season, a young French striker was one of the main targets of such giant English clubs as Arsenal, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur. However, Niang opted for Italian powerhouse Milan.
In 2014 Niang was loaned to a French side Montpellier.
M’Baye Niang is a French youth international having come through the U-16 and U-17 ranks of the national team. He has been capped for the France national U-21 team since 2011.
