Memphis Depay is a striker of PSV. He was born on 13 February 1994 in Moordrecht, Netherlands.
Memphis’s career took off in local amateur club, where the young player performed before he joined Sparta Rotterdam at the age of nine. In the 2006/2007 season, the footballer decided to leave the academy and enter the youth system of PSV. After five years of diligent trainings, Depay showed brilliant results, and head coach Fred Rutten asked him to move to the main team of the club in the 2011/2012 season. Memphis continues his performance for PSV at the position of a left winger and wears number 22 shirt. The footballer’s competitive début came on 21 September 2011 in the KNVB Cup second round away match against VVSB, which ended in a 8-0 victory. Besides, Depay netted two goals in that game. His maiden Eredivisie appearance came on 26 February 2012 in the home 3-2 victory over Feyenoord. The striker featured in 13 matches and fired four goals for the club during one season.
The footballer’s first international match came in the European U-17 Championship, when he went on to the net of Germany and helped his squad to win 5-2.
