Michael Ratajczak is a German goalkeeper born on 16 April 1982 in Herne. He currently plays for the Greek side Asteras Tripoli.
Michael started out his youth career at FC Schalke 04 in 1994 before joining Borussia Dortmund youth system in 1996. In 2002, he signed his first professional contract with the club but was never to play for Dortmund’s first team. Ratajczak only featured in 18 matches of the reserve squad in the 2002/03 season. In 2003, a promising player moved to Rot Weiss Ahlen from lower division but played only 7 games for two seasons. In between 2005 and 2007, he made 29 appearances for FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt.
In 2007, Ratajczak enjoyed better fortune signing for Bundesliga top-flight club Fortuna Düsseldorf. Overall, the goalkeeper made 78 league appearances for the club for a five-year stint. In June 2012, he moved to Greece and joined Asteras Tripoli.
