
Michael Turner is a back of Norwich City. He was born on 9 November 1983 in Lewisham, England.
In 2002 Turner accepted an offer of Charlton Athletic and became a senior player of the club after being groomed in its academy. Besides, Michael was sent to Milanese side Internazionale for apprenticeship during his training in the youth system. From 2002 till 2004, the footballer did not take part in any games of his parent club, but he was sent on loan to Leyton Orient in 2003. Turner made seven appearances for the temporary team and found the net one time during six months.
In 2004 he transferred to Brentford on loan as well and spent the second half of the 2004/2005 season there. Michael made 16 appearances for the club and the management decided to secure his services on permanent basis. That is how the footballer became an important part of the team, featured in 75 games and netted three goals.
In 2006 the back moved to Hull City and spent three fruitful years there. The head coach trusted his experience and saw a solid and responsible defender in Turner, which helped the player to become more self-confident. He made 129 appearances and fired 12 goals during his spell in the club. In 2009 Michael completed a deal with Sunderland and performed for the new team till 2012. He took part in 61 match and went on to net one time before being bought by Norwich City on 27 July 2012.
