Mimoun Azaouagh is a professional German footballer currently playing as a midfielder for 1. FC Kaiserslautern. He was born on November 17, 1982 in Benisidel, Morocco.
The youth stage of Mimoun Azaouagh’s career ran at clubs as Frankfurt FSV (1988-1996), Eintracht Frankfurt (1996-1999) and 1. FSV Mainz 05 (1999-2001).
In 2000 Mimoun Azaouagh joined the senior squad of 1. FSV Mainz 05 II and in 2002 started to play for the first team as well in the Fußball-Bundesliga. He had to miss the first three matches of his team in the Bundesliga because of an illness. But in his second match the footballer scored his first professional goal.
In 2004 Mimoun Azaouagh signed a contract with Schalke 04 FC. In the season of 2006/2007 the midfielder played for 1. FSV Mainz 05 on loan and in 2008 he was loaned to Bochum VfL. The latter signed the midfielder for the following 4 years till 2012.
In 2012 the footballer moved to 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
