Mitchell Langerak is an Australian goalkeeper for Borussia Dortmund, born in Emerald, Queensland on 22 August 1988.
Mitchell’s professional career in football started in 2007, when he joined A-League club Melbourne Victory. However, Langerak spent most of the year on loan at South Melbourne. The following season the loan expired and the player returned to Melbourne Victory which later won both the regular season and the finals series of the A-League. Langerak made 4 appearances for the club during the regular championship, but didn’t play a single match in the play off.
The 2009/10 season was quite successful for Mitchell, however, his team finished second in the A-League. Langerak took part in 13 matches of the regular season and appeared 3 times in the finals series.
In 2010 the goalkeeper left Australia and signed for Borussia Dortmund.
In 2006 Langerak defended the Australia national U-20 squad at the AFC Youth Championship 2006.
