Naim Sharifi was born on 3 June 1992 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The player moved to Russia together with his family, when he was seven years. In 2000 he joined the youth squad of FC Lokomotiv Moscow.
In 2008 he gained promotion to the senior team. The next two years the footballer played for the reserve squad, being one the first-team substitutes from time to time.
In the summer of 2010, Makhmednaim signed a contract with the Austrian club Kapfenberg. He was struggling to get into the first-team squad for a season and finally succeeded. Sharifi started the 2011/12 campaign as a legitimate first-team member. However, Kapfenberg lost the relegation battle that season and the player decided to part his ways with the Austrian side.
The footballer then joined FC Amkar on 5 September 2012, signing a three-year deal. Sharifi made his debut five days later in the game against FC Rubin.
In the summer 2013 Sharifi moved to an Austrian side Kapfenberg.
