Nicholas Alexander Blackman is a footballer from England, born in 1989. He played at the youth academies of Manchester United, Bury and Preston North End and then joined Macclesfield Town. He made his first team debut against Accrington Stanley in the summer of 2007 but soon picked up an injury and missed several months. Until the end of his stay with the team he made 12 appearances and in January 2009 Blackman moved to Blackburn Rovers on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
On 20 August 2009 he was loaned to Oldham Athletic. His debut there was in a 2-2 draw against Swindon Town. In August 2010 he was loaned to Motherwell, playing in the Scottish Premier League, and stayed there until January 2011, when he was loaned to Aberdeen. After that Blackman played for Blackburn Rovers and on 10 August 2012 signed for Sheffield United. There he made 33 appearances and scored 14 goals and on 30 January 2013 he moved to the Premier League side Reading on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
