Nicolas Douchez is a goalkeeper of French FC Paris Saint-Germain. He was born on 22 April 1980 in Rosny-sous-Bois (France).
The footballer’s senior career started in 1999 when he signed his first contract with Le Havre AC. However he was not given an opportunity to play in the major squad because of strong competition within the team itself. Nicolas was the team’s third-choice goalkeeper.
In 2003 his reserve spell came to an end when the football player was awarded a contract with French club Châteauroux from Ligue 2. Douchez signed a contract and in the summer of 2003 officially joined the club. He periodically played in the first team as a substitute goalkeeper. For two seasons spent with that club the footballer took part in 26 matches.
In 2005 a French player was called up to Toulouse FC. He was offered a lasting contract on favorable terms. The football player accepted the offer and signed a contract with the club until 2008. The head coach entrusted Nicolas with the place of the main goalkeeper in the majority of club matches. Over a period of three years spent in the club the player participated in 86 games.
In 2008 Douchez continued his football career with Rennes that he joined on a three-year deal. The club’s manager made a decision to put the football player in the starting lineup as the main goalkeeper beginning with the first rounds of league matches. During three years the goalkeeper appeared in 111 matches.
In 2011 the footballer caught the eye of Paris Saint-Germain FC from Ligue 1. Parisian club offered him a long-term contract and the position of the main goalkeeper. The player was glad to be given a chance to represent the club that competed for the first places in Ligue 1. Since 2011 Nicolas Douchez has been a Paris Saint-Germain player.
