Nikola Kalinić is a Croatian professional football player who currently performs for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk FC and the Croatia National Football Team. The athlete was born on the 5th of January 1988 in Solin, SFR Yugoslavia.

Nikola Kalinić started playing football professionally at Hajduk Split HNK in 2005. In 2006 he came on loan to Istra 1961 NK and later moved to Šibenik to play for Šibenik HNK. In 2007 the striker returned to Hajduk Split HNK and had a successful season, having delivered 19 goals, and became the second best scorer of the tournament.

From 2009 till 2011 Nikola Kalinić featured for Blackburn Rovers FC and scored 7 times in 44 club games in total.

On August 10, 2011 Nikola Kalinić signed a contract for 4 years with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk FC and started starring for the club. He is one of the most effective players on the pitch.
