Omar Daf. Biography

Omar Daf is a Senegalese defender currently playing for Sochaux in the Ligue 1. He was born on 12 February 1977 in Dakar Senegal.

Omar was formed in the youth system of his native US Gorée until 1995. He embarked on his professional career with a Belgian side Westerlo and then moved to Evian Thonon Gaillard. However his career really took off at Sochaux whom Daf joined in 1997. He played for the club for 12 seasons amassing 185 league appearances. In between 2009 and 2012, Daf was part of Stade Brest where he played 77 matches during that period. In 2012, he returned to Sochaux and plays there today.

Omar Daf is regularly capped to the Senegal national team since 1998.
