Oriol Romeu. Biography

Oriol Romeu (born 24 September 1991) is a Spanish halfback of Chelsea.

In 2004 Romeu left Espanyol for the Barcelona youth team. He made his debut in the friendly match against Kuwaiti team Kazma. In 2009 Romeu was included in the team for the FIFA Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi.

Oriol's debut in the official matches was on 13 August 2010, when his club faced Sevilla in the first leg of the Spanish Supercup. On 15 May 2011 Oriol Romeu made his first appearance in La Liga, playing last ten minutes of the match against Deportivo and substituting Jonathan dos Santos.

On 23 July the midfielder signed a professional contract with Chelsea but was not able to become an important part of the squad and was loaned to Valencia in the summer 2013.
