A Spanish footballer Óscar Díaz González performs as a left winger for CD Lugo. Óscar was born on 24 August 1984 in Madrid.
Óscar Díaz started his junior career at the youth department of Alcorcón, where he earned his first playing experience and got ready to join the club’s senior side. In 2003, the winger was selected for the B team of Alcorcón. He spent the 2003/2004 season defending the reserves. In 2004, he was promoted to the club’s main team, where he stayed until 2005. The footballer proved to be a revelation producing a solid performance during his debut season for the first squad. He racked up 6 goals in 36 matches. Such a brilliant performance was noticed by several clubs.
In 2005, Díaz signed for Madrid, where he joined the club’s B team. The 2005/2006 season was lined with two goals netted in 13 games for the reserves. In 2006, the winger opted to join Elche, where the following two seasons were spent. The spell was lined with 44 appearances made and four balls amassed. In 2008, Óscar was scouted by Mallorca. He never made a single appearance for the club, as almost all the time of the spell he spent serving loans to several clubs. In 2008, the player agreed on a temporary deal with Celta. In total, he appeared 34 times and racked up two goals. In 2010, a year-long loan at Recreativo followed. Óscar Díaz made 16 appearances for the temporary side.
In the summer 2010, after leaving Mallorca, the footballer was scouted by Xerez. He stayed with the club until 2012 making 52 appearances and scoring 6 goals. In January 2012, a deal was finalized with FC Girona. Óscar appeared nine times for the club and in the summer 2012 moved to Lugo.
