Oscar Alfredo Ustari was born in 1986 in América, Argentina.
He graduated from Club Atlético Independiente and joined the first team. Ustari made his debut in Primera División in October 2005 in the match against Newell’s Old Boys, ended in a 2-0 victory.
In the summer of 2007 the footballer moved to Spain where he joined La Liga outfit Getafe CF for a fee of €4 million. He made his debut appearance for the team in a 1-2 loss against Valencia CF. During his staying at the club until 2012 his performances weren’t consistent and he suffered several injuries. In July 2012, Ustari returned to his native country and joined Boja Juniors.
After one season with the legendary Argentine side Ustari joined a Spanish UD Almería, recently promoted to the Primera. Half a year later the goalkeeper moved to Sunderland but failed to make a single appearance. In the summer 2014 he moved to Newell’s Old Boys.
He played for the national team at different levels. In 2005 they won FIFA World Youth Championship and in 2008 the Olympic Games, though in the latter one Ustari suffered a foot injury.
