Oussama Assaidi is a football player from Morocco, born in 1988. In 2006 he joined Almere City, playing in the second level of the Dutch football league system, thus giving a start to his professional career.
In the summer of 2008 Assaidi signed for another Dutch football club De Graafschap, which competed in the Eredivisie. After a season there he joined another Eredivisie team SC Heerenveen. His debut there was in the match, ended in a 0-1 loss against FC Groningen. Assaidi became a starter in his first season with the team but lost his starting position in the end of the season. Nevertheless under the management of Ron Jans Assaidi retained his status and became a key player. He played for the side until 2012 and in the summer he moved to Liverpool. Assaidi made his first appearance on 20 September in the Europa League match against Young Boys, ended in a 5-3 win.
However, he had few chances to feature for the Reds and was loaned to Stoke City for the season 2013/2014.
Oussama Assaidi had a chance to play for Morocco or The Netherlands and chose the first one to play for. His international debut came in February 2011 in a 4-0 victory over Niger.
