Paolo Orlandoni is a former goalkeeper. He was born on 12 August 1972 in Bolzano, Italy.
Paolo’s professional career started in 1991 after he signed his first professional contract with Mantova F.C. During the 1991/92 season the young goalkeeper made only 8 appearances for the club.
During the 1992/93 season Orlandoni played for U.C. AlbinoLeffe but made only 8 appearances. The club’s management decided to part with Paolo and transferred him to Casarano where he featured in 23 matches during the 1993/94 season. At that time it was the maximum number of appearances for one club in Paolo’s career.
In 1994 Paolo Orlandoni continued switching clubs and joined Serie D Pro Sesto. During the 1994/95 season Paolo frequently appeared in the club’s starting lineup alternating with Pro Sesto’s first goalkeeper. Orlandoni made a total of 25 appearances.
From 1995 to 2000 Paolo changed 5 clubs. Among them were: Ancona, Foggia where he was a loaned player, Acireale, Reggina and half a season on loan at Bologna. During 5 years of hopping from one club to another Paolo made a total of 93 appearances.
In 2000 Paolo Orlandoni signed a 1-year contract with Lazio where he featured in a single game during the entire season.
In 2001 Paolo was acquired by Piacenza to be used as a second goalkeeper. There were periods though when Orlandoni was used as a first-choice goalkeeper. During 4 years at Piacenza Paolo played a total of 64 matches.
In 2005 Paolo joined Internazionale Milan and was the club’s second goalkeeper until retirement in 2012.
