Park Dong-Hyuk

Park Dong-Hyuk is a South Korean centre-back who currently defends the colours of Ulsan Hyundai. He was born on April 18, 1979 in Seoul, South Korea.

Park Dong-Hyuk spent an early part of his career at youth level with Korea University in 1998. His senior career started in 2002 when he penned his first full-time contract with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. His debut season form was impressive earning him a regular place in the main team. In 2006 the towering centre-half switched to Ulsan Hyundai where he made 73 appearances and fired 7 goals during his two-and-a-half-year stay with the club.

In 2009 the stopper signed for Gamba Osaka but that move didn’t prove to be a success. The player was immediately loaned out to Kashiwa Reysol. His loan stint saw him register 14 appearances. Later on he joined Kashiwa Reysol on a permanent basis. Park Dong-Hyuk quickly became a mainstay in the club’s defense. His time with the team came to an end in 2012 with a move to Dalian Shide. After the club had been dissolved Park returned to Korea and joined his former club Ulsan Hyundai.

Park Dong-Hyuk won international honours for South Korea at U-20 and U-23 levels. From 1998 to 2005 he made 18 appearances for the senior side.
