Reinaldo Elias da Costa is a Brazilian striker who currently wears the jerseys of Beijing Guoan. He was born on June 13, 1984 in Itaberí, Brazil.
Reinaldo started out at América Mineiro. He managed to become a valuable squad member and a top goalscorer. During his time with the team, the potent striker found the target 10 times in 13 league outings. His outstanding form prompted a transfer to Corinthians Alagoano in 2005 where he continued to score on a regular basis. A move abroad looked on the cards and in the 2005 January transfer window Reinaldo embarked on a brief loan spell at Australian club Brisbane Roar. When his loan stint drew to a close, Brisbane opted to sign a prolific goalscorer on a permanent basis. In 2008 the Brazilian striker departed the club, having notched 13 goals in 41 matches. This time the footballer headed for South Korea, where he penned a contract with Busan I’Park. However, that move didn’t prove to be a success and Reinaldo decided to return to Brisbane Roar.
In 2011 Quatari side Al-Wakra swooped to secure his signature in a $2 million deal. Later that year the Brazilian target man switched to Saudi Arabia club Al-Raed. The year of 2012 saw the player move to China and clinch a contract with Beijing Guoan.
