Ricardo Osorio is a Mexican fullback. He was born on 30 March 1980 in Huajuapan de León, Mexico.
In 2000 Osorio signed the first professional agreement in his career with Cruz Azul Hidalgo. In the next year the footballer made his Liga MX debut. In 2001 Ricardo moved to Cruz Azul. Osorio proved himself as one of the best defenders in the Mexican championship and gained his first cap for the Mexico national team. From 2001 to 2006 the footballer made 140 appearances for Cruz Azul.
After an impressive performance in the 2006 FIFA World Cup Osorio was purchased by VfB Stuttgart. The transfer fee was priced at €4 million. Ricardo defended the colours of this Bundesliga club until 2010. All in all, the defender participated in 73 matches.
In 2010 Osorio returned to Mexico where he joined Monterrey.
Since 2003 Ricardo Osorio has been part of the Mexico national team. He participated in several World Cups. Besides, Osorio won the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2003 and 2011.
