Robert Acquafresca is a striker for Bologna. He was born on 11 September 1987 in Turin, Italy.
Robert played football since his early childhood. At the age of 6 he joined Torino youth squad. Acquafresca was a promising striker, scoring 10 goals in 16 appearances for Torino youth team.
Robert Acquafresca began his professional career at Internazionale in 2005.
He was immediately transferred to Treviso in a co-ownership deal. Acquafresca made 43 appearances and netted 11 goals for the club.
During the 2007/08 season Acquafresca successfully played for Cagliari, totaling 32 appearances and 10 goals.
In 2008 Internazionale purchased Robert Acquafresca and immediately loaned him back to Cagliari. Acquafresca spent another season at Cagliari, making a total of 36 appearances and 14 goals.
In 2009 Acquafresca signed for Genoa until 2014. But after scoring only 2 goals in 10 matches he was loaned out to Atalanta. The 2009/10 season wasn’t particularly successful for the Italian striker as he scored only 1 goal in 12 appearances.
In 2010 Robert was again loaned to Cagliari, where he played during the 2010/11 season, scoring 8 goals in 37 appearances.
In 2011 Robert Acquafresca was transferred on loan to Bologna, where he is now a regular. In 2012 the club bought the full rights for Acquafresca from Genoa for €2.5 million. In 2013 Robert was loaned to Levante.
From 2004 to 2009 Robert played for almost every Italian youth team. From 2007 to 2009 Acquafresca was capped 18 times and scored 11 goals for Italy U-21. In 2008 he was part of Italy Olimpic team scoring 1 goal in 4 appearances.
