Rodnei. Biography

Rodnei Francisco de Lima, known as Rodnei, is a professional Brazilian footballer currently playing in the defense line for Red Bull Salzburg FC. He was born in São Paulo, Brazil on September 11, 1985.

Rodnei can play not only as a center back but as a left or a right defender as well. In April 2006 he left Juventus, where he featured for one season, for Vilnius FC. In August 2007 he moved to a small Brazilian club called Pão de Açúcar. In 2007 he was loaned to Jagiellonia Białystok (Poland), where he was one of regular first team players.

From 2008 till 2010 the footballer was a player of Hertha BSC, but he spent the season of 2009/2010 at 1. FC Kaiserslautern on loan. In 2010 the club revealed the intention to buy the defender and Rodnei was one of the teammates of the Red Devils till 2012.

In 2012 Rodnei signed for Red Bull Salzburg FC.
