Rodrigo Taddei is a midfielder for A.S. Roma. He was born on 6 March 1980 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The footballer’s professional career began in 2000 when Rodrigo signed the first contract in his career with Palmeiras and joined the club’s first team. For two seasons the young midfielder did not perform consistently and made only 25 appearances in 2 seasons. Taddei was a rather talented and reliable winger, but his best potential wasn’t discovered in the first club.
In summer 2002 A.C. Siena management expressed an intention to sign Rodrigo Taddei. Within a short time the two clubs were agreeing on the transfer price and finally they reached a deal.
In 2002 Taddei made his European debut in Italian Siena becoming a paramount figure in the team. Rodrigo stayed with his first European club for 74 matches and netted 14 goals.
In 2005 Rodrigo made the last move in his career to Roma. Taddei was supposed to play in the starting line-up since the position of a reliable midfielder was vacant and the head coach couldn’t find a better candidate for winger position.
Since 2005 Rodrigo has been a regular in the first team of AS Roma and has scored 23 goals in more than 200 games for the club.
