Roman Hubník is a footballer, playing for Viktoria Plzen as a defender. He was born in 1984 and spent his youth career in his homeland teams TJ Halenkov, FC Vsetín, Tescoma Zlín and Sigma Olomouc. After graduation he went on playing for Sigma Olomouc since 2002. In January 2007 he left the Czech Republic and moved to FC Moscow for a fee of €2 million. The whole year of 2009 he spent on a loan deal with Sparta Prague and then was sent to Hertha BSC on loan. When the loan deal came to an end he signed a long-term deal with Hertha BSC.
In 2013 Hubnik joined Viktoria Plzen.
Roman Hubník is a Czech international. He represented the national youth team at all levels and since 2009 he’s been a part of the senior team. His Czech Republic national team debut came on 5 July 2009 in the game against Malta. In August 2009 he scored his first goal for the team in a 3-1 win against Belguim.
