Rubén López García-Madrid is a footballer from Spain, born on 9 July 1979 in Barcelona. The first club he signed for was Terrassa FC. Since 2001 till 2007 he stayed there but had a season-long stint at Numancia sandwiched in-between his period at Terrassa. He made his debut in October 2001 in the match against CD Binéfar. Since then he’d been the team’s key player but gradually was used less. During his season at Numancia he was regularly used in the first half of a season and then he wasn’t given enough playing time so he returned to Terrassa.
The 2007/08 season Rubén López played for UD Vecindario and was used throughout the whole campaign. The following two seasons he spent with UD Melilla, where he was used in the second season much more than in the first one.
In January 2011 Rubén López moved to LASK Linz in Austrian Football Bundesliga but the team faced relegation and having made six appearances in July 2011 the Spanish footballer left the team for CF Palencia. After a season in Spain, Rubén López moved to Hong Kong where he signed for Southern District RSA, where he still plays as centre back.
