A Scottish footballer Ryan Cairns Stevenson was born on 24 August 1984 in Irvine.
Ryan came from the youth department of Chelsea, where he studied the football in its minutest details. In 2002, Stevenson signed for St. Johnstone and his professional career began. He was given the place in the reserved team and made only few appearances for the main squad. Because of the lack of playing time, the midfielder agreed to go on loan to Ayr United, where he was supposed to get more performing experience. Ryan made 4 appearances and netted 2 goals for the temporary team.
In the summer 2007, the management of the temporary club offered the footballer a contract on permanent basis. Stevenson fitted the team perfectly and started to make appearances as the team’s starter very frequently. Over the course of the spell, the player scored 25 goals in 25 matches.
In 2010, Ryan was scouted by Heart of Midlothian, where he played during 2 seasons. He managed to become the team’s pivot, making 61 appearances and scoring 9 goals. In January 2012, he was bought out by Ipswich Town, where he spent half a year making 11 appearances and netting 1 goal. In the summer 2012, the footballer opted to return to Heart of Midlothian.
In the summer 2014 Stevenson moved to Partick Thistle.
