Sam Byram is a football player from England. He was born in 1993 in Thurrock, Essex. He played for school teams and then joined the academy of Leeds United, where he played between 2005 and 2012.
In May 2012 he was promoted to the first team and made his debut in the 2012/13 pre-season campaign, in the match against Farsley. He had a prolific pre-season and as a part of the first team Byram featured in the League Cup match against Shrewsbury Town on 11 August 2012, which ended in a 4-0 victory. He made his league debut in the team’s first league match against Wolverhampton Wanderers. On 26 January 2013 Byram penned contract extension which keeps him in the club until 2016.
In 2012/13 he was named Leeds United Players’ Player of the Year, Leeds United Young Player of the Year, Leeds United Fans Player of the Year. In March 2013 Byram was awarded Football League Young Player of the Month.
