Sam Mantom is a midfielder of Walsall, competing in League One. He was born on 20 February 1992 in Stourbridge, England.
Sam emerged through the youth system at West Bromwich and began his senior career in the same club after receiving an offer to join the first team. He had no appearances for ‘The Baggies’, when the management decided to send the young footballer on loan to Haukar. Mantom gained his first playing practice in the temporary club, where he spent half a year and netted two goals in seven games before signing a six-month loan deal with Tranmere Rovers at the beginning of 2011. Sam made only two appearances for the new temporary team.
In the summer 2011, Mantom returned to his parent West Bromwich and trained with the squad, taking part in pre-season preparations. However, he went on loan again, this time to Oldham Athletic for the first half of the 2011/2012 season. Sam played in four fixtures of the club and moved to Walsall for the second half of the season. There he made confident display and kicked three goals in 13 matches of the temporary team.
In 2013 the youngster moved to League One side Walsall.
In 2008 Manton took part in two matches of the England national U-17 team.
