An Ivorian footballer Serge Aurier is a defender for Toulouse FC. He also posesses French citizenship.
Before moving to RC Lens he played for Villepinte FC in the position of central defender. Aged 16 along with the team he finished as runner-up and at the age of 18 – as the French football champion. The player also became the captain of the reserve team before signing his first professional contract in June 2009.
Serge made his Ligue 1 debut on 22 December 2009 in the match against AS Saint-Étienne when he was only 16. On 30 January during the Derby du Nord the defender felt a sudden sharp pain in his thigh and as a result was substituted. The rest of the season Aurier performed quite well and even became the best defender of the year.
In the 2010/11 season Serge changed his team status appearing in 29 matches. In March 2011 the player signed a contract extension with the club until 2015. His performances were getting better as he intended to attract attention of the best European clubs.
During the 2011/12 winter transfer window the defender joined Toulouse. On 1 April 2012 on the 30th day of Ligue 1 championship Serge scored his first goal for the new club in the match against Lille OSC. In 2014 Aurier was loaned to French champions PSG.
