A Danish footballer Stephan Andersen plays at the position of goalkeeper for Real Betis and for the Denmark national team.
The player’s career began at Danish clubs AB and Hvidovre IF. At the age of 22 he moved to English club Charlton Athletic FC. However, there the goalkeeper did not manage to enter the major squad so in 2007 he returned to Denmark. At home Stephan immediately became Brøndby IF regular. Besides, in 2008 he was named Danish Goalkeeper of the Year. In the summer of 2011 the player moved to French club Évian. Two years later he joined Real Betis.
As Danish international Andersen made his debut in March 2004 against Spain. He also participated in the European Championship in 2004 for Denmark. The goalkeeper was included in the Danish squad to play for his country at the FIFA World Cup in 2010. By January 2012 he had already appeared in 8 matches for the national team.
