Sylvain Monsoreau is a retired French defender. He was born on 20 March 1981 in Saint-Cyr-l’École, France.
Sylvain began his senior career with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard in 1999. He made his professional debut in a match against Bordeaux in 2001. Overall, Monsoreau made a total of 121 appearances during a six-year stint at the club. In the 2005/06 season, the defender featured in 19 league matches and two UEFA Champions League games for Olympique Lyonnais. In between 2006 and 2008, he played for AS Monaco and then transferred to Saint-Étienne. In 2012, Sylvain Monsoreau joined Troyes for one season.
The player retired from professional football aged 32.
