Szabolcs Huszti is a Hungarian footballer born on 18 April 1983 in Miskolc, Hungary. He currently plays as a midfielder for Hannover 96.
Szabolcs began playing football at Tapolca Bauxit, but his real grooming started at the age of 14 in the youth team of Budapest giants Ferencvárosi TC.
In 2002, a skillful midfielder was promoted to the first team, but his official debut for Fradi came on 28 September 2003. Subsequently, Huszti joined FC Sopron for a season-long loan and after that, in the summer 2005, moved to the French first-tier club FC Metz, where he played for only one season.
From 2006 till 2009, Szabolcs Huszti played for Hannover 96; had extensive Russian Premier League experience during his three-year stint at FC Zenit Saint Petersburg afterwards, and finally returned to the Reds again in 2012, signing a three-year contract until June 2015.
Huszti performed as a regular Hungarian international from 2004 till 2010, but then retired reportedly in order to build up his club career.
