Tapuwa Kapini is a Zimbabwean goalkeeper born on 17 July 1984 in the city of Harare.
Tapuwa embarked on his professional career at a prominent Zimbabwean club Highlanders FC where he played until 2006. It’s a tidbit that though a goalkeeper Kapini even managed to score a goal for the club. In 2006, he moved to South African side Platinum Stars where he played for five years. He had a fruitful period at the club amassing 82 appearances. In 2011, Kapini joined AmaZulu and plays for the side till today. Thanks to his good club performances he shortly cemented his place as a first-choice keeper in the club.
Since 2004, Tapuwa Kapini is capped to the Zimbabwe national team. He made his international debut in the Africa Cup of Nations match against Algeria. Kapini also featured in qualifying matches for the 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup.
