Thiago Silva is a center back for Paris Saint-Germain. He was born on 22 September in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Thiago’s professional career started in 2003 when he joined RS Futebol. Before signing the contract, Silva was a student of RS Futebol’s football academy. During his first season Thiago played only a few matches, but despite the small number of matches played, Silva was offered to join another Brazilian club.
In 2004 Thiago signed his second professional contract with E.C. Juventude. The young defender quickly integrated in the new club, which allowed him to become one of the pillars of the club’s defensive line. For 6 months he played 28 matches for Juventude and scored 3 goals.
Later that year, Thiago Silva was acquired by the Portuguese F.C. Porto. The club signed a long-term contract with Thiago, but unfortunately for him, he never played a single match for the club. After an idle season in Porto, Thiago received an offer from F.C. Dynamo Moscow. Since he had nothing but the bench to lose in the Portuguese club, he accepted the offer. In 2005 he moved to Russia, but it was no better for him than in Porto. Another bench season made Thiago worry about his future.
In the summer of 2006 Thiago Silva received an invitation from Brazilian Fluminense F.C. The defender hastily accepted the invitation and returned to Brazil to sign a contract until 2008. For two years Thiago was Fluminense’s center back and played practically every match. From 2006 to 2008 Thiago Silva played in 81 matches and scored 6 goals.
In 2009 Thiago entered a new stage of his career after a new European offer, this time from A.C. Milan. The Italian club paid 10 million euros for the Brazilian defender and signed a long-term contract with him. From 2009 Thiago was the first-choice defender with 92 matches and 6 goals.
In 2012 Thiago was lured by the French offer from Paris Saint-Germain club, spending the Arab money, and moved to Paris.
In 2008 Thiago played 5 matches for the Brazilian U-23, while later he became part of the Brazil national football team and featured in 25 matches.
