Tobias Pilegaard Mikkelsen is a Danish right midfielder born on 18 September 1986.
In 2004 Tobias penned his first professional contract with Lyngby BK and later helped his team gain promotion to the Danish Superliga. In 2007 notorious Brøndby IF welcomed Mikkelsen into the fold signing a four-year contract with the footballer. However, Tobias left the club in 2009 since he had lost a permanent spot in the starting eleven due to a serious injury.
From 2009 to 2012 the Danish competed for F.C. Nordsjælland where he won the Danish Cup two times in a row and claimed the Danish Superliga title in the 2011/12 season. In 2012 Mikkelsen signed for SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
In 2013 he moved to Norway and joined Rosenborg.
The midfielder took part in 10 games of the Danish U-21 national team. Since 2011 he has been an indispensable part of the Denmark national senior squad.
