Tobias Sippel is a professional German footballer currently performing as a goalkeeper for the club of 1. FC Kaiserslautern. He was born in Bad Dürkheim, West Germany on March 22, 1988.
As for his junior career, at first Tobias Sippel trained at 1911 Bad Dürkheim SV, and then moved to the academy of 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
In 2007 Tobias Sippel joined the senior squad of 1. FC Kaiserslautern, which marked the beginning of his career as a professional player. The footballer performed for Kaiserslautern II during his first season in the club. A year later Tobias Sippel was accepted to the first team and became the 3rd goalkeeper with Jürgen Macho and Florian Fromlowitz before him. When the side was relegated to the lower 2. Fußball-Bundesliga, Jürgen Macho left the club and Tobias Sippel became the second goalkeeper.
Having participated in 10 games of the 2007/2008 season, Florian Fromlowitz got injured and Tobias Sippel got the position of the first goalkeeper. But in the season of 2008/2009 he broke his arm and had to leave the pitch for some time.
Internationally, Tobias Sippel started to feature for the Germany national U21 football team in 2008.
