Toni Kroos is a German midfielder, born in Greifswald, East Germany.
Having started his career at the youth teams of Greifswalder SC and Hansa Rostock, Toni quickly drew the attention of such football clubs as Schalke 04, Werder and Chelsea. However, at the very beginning of July 2006 Kroos became a player of Bayern Munich signing a contract until 1 July 2012. The deal was renewed until 30 June 2015.
Toni made his debut for Bayern Munich on September 26, 2007 in a Bundesliga match versus Energie Cottbus. At that moment the footballer was 17 years 8 months and 22 days old, which made him the youngest Bayern player from Germany in the Bundesliga history. Kroos substituted Ze Roberto in the 72nd minute and provided two assists for the two winning goals netted by Miroslav Klose. That match ended in 5-0 victory of Bayern.
On 4 October 2007 Toni first appeared in the UEFA Cup in a match versus Portuguese Belenenses, coming on in the 81st minute for Bastian Schweinsteiger. A month later, Kroos made his first line-up start.
Besides the club trophies, the footballer also holds such individual honours as the Golden Ball at the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2007 as Best Player and the Bronze Shoe at the same championship as third-highest scorer.
All in all, Kroos made 176 appearances for Bayern Munich and netted 23 goals from 2007 to 2014. He also had a successful loan spell with Bayer Leverkusen in 2009/2010 season.
In the summer 2014 Kroos was lured to Real Madrid.
From 2010 Toni has been an integral part of the Germany national team. In 2014 he became a World Champion.
