Tripy Makonda is a left back of Brest. He was born on 24 January 1990 in Ivry-sur-Seine.
Tripy started trying his hand at football in 1995 at the academy of Nicolaite de Chailot, where he played for the youth team and learned the game in its minutest details.
From 1998 up till 2002, he spent at the youth department of Boulogne-Billencourt.
In 2002 he was drafted into the academy of Saint-Germain, which had one of the most prestigious youth systems of Paris. After spending seven years playing for the junior squad of PSG, he made the move to the senior team. A two-year contract was signed in 2009. But the club didn’t consider the player to become an anchor of the squad, so it was up in the air whether he would get a place in the starting line-up. Nevertheless, Makonda got a chance to earn an experience from the senior players, to gain good shape and bring him in the eyes of the good world of football. Over the course of two seasons, he made 9 appearances.
In 2011, Tripy’s career moved on to a new footing. He got an offer from the French Brest. The club was looking for promising players to be poised to win in the championship of the top division in France. On 1 July 2011, a four-year contract was penned.
Makonda also took part in matches for the France national squad at U-18 level. In total, he made 9 appearances and amassed one goal. In 2010, he was capped three times for the U-19 national team. Since 2010 Tripy has performed for the U-20 team.
