Vagif Javadov is a football striker from Azerbaijan who was born on 25 May 1989. He started playing football at the age of 7 and joined CSKA Moscow youth system at the age of 11. He played for the youth and reserve teams, yet in 2007 he moved to Qarabağ. Javadov became one of the most important players in the side and made more than 100 appearances for the team scoring 20 goals.
After a short spell in Twente where he failed to cement a place in the senior squad due to a string of injuries the striker moved on a loan to FC Baku.
After short stints in Volga and Qarabağ Javadov moved to Inter Baku.
The forward made his debut for the national team on 18 May 2006 in a friendly fixture against Moldova, while his first goal was recorded in the game against Kyrgyzstan on 11 March 2007.
