Veli Lampi is a Finnish professional footballer currently featuring for Arsenal Kyiv FC. The sportsman was born on July 18, 1984 in Seinäjoki, Finland.
In 2002, Veli Lampi signed a two-year contract with VPS (Vaasan Palloseura) and despite his young age the defender played regularly. In total, the footballer made 47 appearances and scored 6 goals for the club.
In 2004, Veli Lampi joined HJK Helsinki, again for two seasons. The defender was a first-choice player and took part in 49 games. From 2007 till 2010 the footballer performed for Zürich FC (Switzerland), but was not able to join the list of first string players of the team. Veli Lampi was loaned to Aarau FC for the remaining half of the 2009/10 season and participated in 16 matches of the Swiss side.
From 2010 till 2011 Veli Lampi was the player of the Willem II Tilburg (the Netherlands) and remained one of the key players of the back line.
In the summer of 2011, the Finnish defender moved to Arsenal Kyiv FC playing in the Ukrainian Premier League.
In 2006, Veli Lampi started to play for the Finland national football team.
