A Brazilian footballer Victor Leandro Bagy plays as a goalkeeper for Atlético Mineiro. Victor was born on 21 January 1983.
Victor used to be a highly-rated teenager at the academy of Paulista. His junior career started in 2001, when he entered the club’s youth department, and lasted for the following two years until he was offered his first pro contract. Bagy grabbed the contract with Paulista in 2003 and his professional career began. The young goalkeeper immediately established himself in the starting squad and remained the place unitl the end of the spell. Whilst playing for the team, the footballer won the 2005 Copa do Brazil. In total, Victor made 138 appearances for the club.
In 2008, he was hired by Grêmio and a new wonderful stage in his professional career started off. He clinched into the first eleven at once and started to make frequent appearances. The player was given the award of the Best Goalkeeper of the Brazilian Championship two times in a row (in 2008 and 2009). Victor was also honored with the 2009 Bola de plata. In 2010, Leandro won the Rio Grande do Sul State League under the flag of Grêmio.
In 2012, the goalkeeper moved to Atlético Mineiro. He’s already made more than 30 appearances for the team.
In 2009, Victor was capped for the Brazil national squad for the first time. In 2009, he won the FIFA Confederations Cup. In 2010, the goalkeeper participated in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification.
