Vitaliy Reva was born on 19 November 1974 in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. Like many other boys in Dnepropetrovsk, he was fostered in the FC Dnipro-75 academy.
Before joining the Second League participant FC CSKA Kyiv, Vitaliy had played for FC Polihraftekhnika Oleksandria from 1993 to 1995. In 2001 he became of interest to FC Dynamo Kyiv and soon was swooped by Ukraine's number one club. Unable to compete with Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, Reva had to go on loan to SC Tavriya Simferopol until the end of 2005.
In the summer of 2007, Vitaliy returned to the “Armymen”, which by that time had already been called “FC Arsenal Kyiv”. Four years later the keeper joined FC Obolon Kyiv, but played at the club only for half a season. At the start of the 2012/13 season he penned a contract with FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih.
Just half a season later the veteran was invited to the capital side Arsenal.
Vitaliy Reva won the Ukrainian championship twice (2003, 2004) and lifted the Ukrainian Cup two times (2003, 2005). His most important personal award is the best Ukrainian goalkeeper in 2001 and 2002. Vitaliy is also “Honoured Master of Sports of Ukraine” (2005).
