Walid Soliman was born on 1 December 1984 in Minya, Egypt. He currently plays as an attacking midfielder for Egyptian giant club Al-Ahly.
At the beginning of his professional career, Walid played for such clubs as Haras El-Hodoud and Gouna FC. In 2006, he joined newly-promoted Petrojet. Soliman got off to a flying start at the club as he scored during his debut in the Premier League opening match against Geish. He made a total of 19 goals in 70 appearances during a four-year stint at the club. In the 2010/11 season, Soliman played for ENPPI before signing for the heavyweights Al-Ahly in August 2011. In the 2011/12 season he made a total of 26 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Since 2007, Walid Soliman is capped to the Egypt national team. He made his debut in a Pan Arab Games match against Sudan in November 2007.
