Wang Yongpo. Biography

Wang Yongpo is a midfielder of the Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng. He was born on 19 January 1987 in Qingdao, China.

Wang played for the Shandong Luneng youth system since 1998 till 2003. In 2004, he signed a professional contract with the feeder club and made his senior debut in a game against Tianjin Teda. Yongpo was initially deployed as a backup player but after a successful 2007 season, he was given a regular place in the starting lineup. Yongpo was an instrumental figure during the 2008 campaign as with his 7 goals in 16 matches he helped his side to win the Chinese Super League title.

Wang Yongpo was awarded his first cap to the China national team in a match against Iran in June 2009.
